What is the best shampoo to use after chemo?

Use baby shampoo or other mild shampoo (such as Aveeno® or Vanicream). You should also use a cream rinse or hair conditioner. Use shampoos and conditioners that have sunscreen to prevent sun damage to your scalp. Always rinse your hair well and pat it dry with a soft towel.

How long after starting chemo do you get sick?

Acute nausea and vomiting usually happens within minutes to hours after treatment is given, and usually within the first 24 hours. This is more common when treatment is given by IV infusion or when taken by mouth.

What should you not do after chemo?

  2. Make sure your water is safe.
  3. Know how to cook and store foods safely.
