P is for protein – Healthy hair, nail & skin starts from within
We sometimes forget that what we put into our bodies is by far of greater importance than what we put on it, in terms of healthy hair, nails and skin. I mention this a lot so may sound like a broken record, “Your hair and nails are last in line for any nutrients that you put into your body”. So if you are lacking vital nutrients that your body needs, guess what… your hair and nails will suffer first.
This week:- Protein
Protein is the building block of hair so ingesting enough of the stuff is important to aid in your hair growing at it’s optimum rate, stronger hair strands that will grow in thicker with an amazing gloss. Remember hair is dead from the point at which leaves the hair follicle, so it is important that the follicle is nourished to the max. Small doses of protein with every meal & snack will set you up with the right foundations for growing healthier, thicker, longer, stronger hair.
Some sources of high protein –
