We sometimes forget that although we may add moisture to our external it is in-fact the internal that is most important… Most of us ladies embarking on a healthy hair journey know the importance of water for the hair, well at least I hope you all do. My question is, as well as spraying and wetting the hair from the outside, how much water are you consuming?
The body is made up of about 60% water and most of our vital organs require water to function effectively. The specific amount of water needed by each individual person varies depending on things such as a persons overall health, activeness, weight etc. There is however an average recommended daily amount for both men and woman, which is different. The Daily average amount of water for women is around 2 litres, which is equivalent to about 8 glasses of water…
Not getting enough water can lead to dehydration (obvious right?), as well as effecting your body functioning correctly, it can affect you cosmetically…Your nails, hair and skin can be effected from lack of water, causing them to be dry and brittle… If you are suffering from extremely dry hair and nothing you are doing externally is working, try upping your water intake. Remember our, hair and nails are the last to get nourishment from the body, so if you don’t have enough, your hair will not receive.
